In his latest column for the Healthcare Journal of Arkansas, ACHI President and CEO Dr. Joe Thompson looks at the problem of rampant misinformation about COVID-19 and vaccines: where it comes from, how it contributes to vaccine hesitancy, and what can be done about it.
“I believe we can counter the misinformation, but it is not something that a handful of leaders can do by themselves,” Thompson writes. “We need a full-court press from all leaders: Democratic and Republican leaders in government, community leaders, faith leaders, health organizations, research institutions, media organizations, and school leaders.”
