An all-payer claims database (APCD) is a large-scale database that systematically collects healthcare data from a variety of payer sources. This fact sheet explains the benefits of an APCD and explores their uptake in other states.

A number of states have established an all-payer claims database (APCD) to address the need for healthcare information, particularly for consumers. Arkansas has joined those states and is in the process of developing and releasing price and quality information.
