ACHI President and CEO Dr. Joe Thompson joined University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Chancellor Dr. Cam Patterson and host Steve Barnes to provide an update on the COVID-19 pandemic in Arkansas on the April 2 edition of Arkansas PBS’ “Arkansas Week.” Their segment begins at the 13:20 mark.
During the broadcast, Dr. Thompson discussed the ACHI Health Policy Board’s recent call to action to community leaders to adopt strategies to fight the spread of COVID-19 at the local level, including requiring masks. He and Dr. Patterson also discussed variants, vaccines, and the importance of equity in vaccine distribution.
