On the heels of Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s announcement Tuesday that he was terminating the statewide mask requirement, the ACHI Health Policy Board issued a call to action Thursday to leaders across the state, including business owners, school board members, faith leaders, and local elected officials.
“Termination of the state mask requirement should be replaced by local decisions to continue important efforts to minimize the spread of this disease, including mask requirements,” the board said, noting that the lifting of the statewide mask requirement “is not an all-clear signal to abandon safeguards in our communities.”
