Food deserts are areas where people have few to no convenient options for obtaining affordable and healthy foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables. This updated explainer provides an overview of the scope and impact of food deserts in Arkansas and ways communities, businesses, nonprofits, and governments can make healthy food more accessible and affordable.
