In his State of the Union address tonight (Feb. 4), President Donald Trump will discuss his policy and budget priorities for the year. Next month, the priorities of Gov. Asa Hutchinson and the Arkansas General Assembly will inform budget hearings in advance of the state’s fiscal session, set to begin April 8. At both the federal and state levels, policymakers will grapple with a host of complex policy issues, many of them involving big-budget health coverage programs like Medicaid and Medicare.
