ACHI President and CEO Dr. Joe Thompson appeared on AETN’s “Arkansas Week” on Friday, July 5, to take part in a panel discussion on the state of health in Arkansas. The panelists emphasized the importance of addressing “ZIP code risk,” or the disproportionate health risk faced by some populations based on where they live.
Also appearing were Dr. Appathurai Balamurugan (Dr. Bala), director of chronic diseases for the Arkansas Department of Health; ShaRhonda Love, director of the Arkansas Minority Health Commission; and host Steve Barnes.
