Most postpartum mothers in Northwest Arkansas — and statewide — who experience an acute mental health or other behavioral health event requiring an emergency room visit or inpatient stay do not have a follow-up outpatient visit, an ACHI analysis finds. In the Thursday, Aug. 8, episode of its “Ozarks at Large” program, Fayetteville-based public radio station KUAF featured an interview with ACHI President and CEO Dr. Joe Thompson about our findings.
