ACHI’S SARAH CRAWFORD NAMED TO ACADEMYHEALTH ADVISORY PANEL ON ORAL HEALTH

LITTLE ROCK ― Sarah Crawford, assistant director of analytics for the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement, has been selected by AcademyHealth to serve on its Oral Health Interest Group Advisory Committee.

AcademyHealth, based in Washington, D.C., is the leading professional organization in the U.S. dedicated to advancing the fields of health services research and health policy. The Oral Health Interest Group Advisory Committee helps to inform AcademyHealth’s Oral Health Interest Group, which provides a forum to share knowledge, challenges, research methods and best practices for improving oral health care access, quality, and outcomes. Advisory Committee members are selected annually.

“This is a significant professional accomplishment and a testament to Sarah’s expertise, dedication, and commitment to improving health through research and analytics,” said ACHI Director of Analytics Nichole Stanley. “Her selection provides an opportunity to contribute to national conversations around oral health and to collaborate with experts from across the country. We are fortunate to have her as part of the ACHI team and look forward to the perspectives and opportunities she will bring back from this work.”

Crawford joined ACHI as a data analyst in 2020 and was named assistant director of analytics in January of this year. She leads and contributes to ACHI’s analytic research projects, which draw on one of the most comprehensive state-based health care data assets in the country, the Arkansas Healthcare Transparency Initiative. Crawford graduated from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich., and obtained a master of public administration degree from the University of Michigan.

ACHI is a nonpartisan, independent health policy center that serves as a catalyst for improving the health of all Arkansans through evidence-based research, analysis, and collaborative program development.
