Do you know someone who has made a positive and lasting impact on the health of Arkansans? We are currently accepting nominations for the 2024 Dr. Tom Bruce Arkansas Health Impact Award.

The ACHI Health Policy Board honors individuals each year who embody Dr. Tom Bruce’s lifetime of service by demonstrating courageous leadership, sustaining records as catalysts for improving the health of all Arkansans, and exemplifying the core values of ACHI: trust, commitment, innovation, and initiative.

Jon Swanson, who served as Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services’ (MEMS) executive director for 23 years, was honored in 2022. Dr. Betty Lowe, who helped to develop Arkansas Children’s Hospital into a national recognized center, was also honored in memoriam in 2022. For more about Dr. Bruce and previous honorees, visit the Dr. Tom Bruce Arkansas Health Impact Award page.

To nominate an individual who has made a true impact on the health of Arkansans, please fill out the form below and attach a letter (up to three pages) describing why the nominee deserves to be honored. Deadline for submissions is May 3, 2024. All nominations will be reviewed by ACHI’s 2024 Health Policy Board, which will select the recipient(s) to be honored later this year.
