Now Accepting Nominations for ACHI’s 2026 Dr. Tom Bruce Arkansas Health Impact Award
Do you know someone who has made a positive and lasting impact on the health of Arkansans? We are currently accepting nominations for the 2026 Dr. Tom Bruce Arkansas Health Impact Award.
The ACHI Health Policy Board honors individuals each year who embody Dr. Tom Bruce’s lifetime of service by demonstrating courageous leadership, sustaining records as catalysts for improving the health of all Arkansans, and exemplifying the core values of ACHI: trust, commitment, innovation, and initiative.

The 2025 award recipient was the late Rev. Hezekiah D. Stewart who founded the Watershed Human and Community Development Agency, described as the state’s first “social hospital.” For more about Dr. Bruce and previous honorees, visit the Dr. Tom Bruce Arkansas Health Impact Award page.
To nominate an individual who has made a true impact on the health of Arkansans, please fill out the form below and attach a letter (up to three pages) describing why the nominee deserves to be honored. Deadline for submissions is May 1, 2026. All nominations will be reviewed by the ACHI Health Policy Board, which will select the recipient(s) to be honored later this year.
