Joshua Cook is ACHI’s interim director of external relations. He oversees ACHI’s communications and engagement efforts, including media outreach, publications, videos, social media content, external events, and the “Wonks at Work” podcast.
Cook has worked in communications since 2000 and has broad experience in public relations, journalism, and corporate communications. He has earned multiple state and national recognitions, including a Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America, and he has served as a judge for the Writers Guild of America’s annual TV and radio writing awards.
He previously worked as a producer, writer, and editor for CBS Network Radio News in New York; led global media relations efforts for Austin, Texas-based geopolitical intelligence firm Stratfor; led media relations and electronic communications efforts for the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin; and served as director of public relations for Ghidotti, a Little Rock-based public relations agency.
Cook received a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and English from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky, and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock, a community leadership program of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.
