Description: The AMDPA 2026 Scientific Session, “Increasing Access to Healthcare for a Healthy Arkansas: The New Reconstruction of Rural Healthcare,” will bring together physicians, dentists, pharmacists, public health leaders, and trainees to explore solutions to healthcare access challenges across rural and underserved communities in Arkansas. Through expert-led presentations and panel discussions, the conference will address key topics including rural workforce development, chronic disease prevention and management, maternal health, behavioral health, oral health integration, telehealth innovation, the role of Federally Qualified Health Centers, and improving recognition and care for conditions such as lupus. Participants will gain practical strategies to strengthen care delivery, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and improve health outcomes for rural populations across the state.
