ACHI is currently working with the state’s Medicaid department, commercial carriers and self-insured employers to develop and disseminate a series of annual Statewide Tracking Reports on Arkansas’s Health Care Payment Improvement Initiative (AHCPII). Supported by funding from Walmart, the third annual Statewide Tracking Report was released in May 2017 and includes cross-payer summary information about the progress of AHCPII.

Arkansas is a national leader in health system payment improvement efforts. The Statewide Tracking Report is designed to capture the impact of these efforts in a public, cross-institutional format. The explicit goal of the Statewide Tracking Report is to demonstrate to a range of stakeholders the overall progress of AHCPII including successes and any unintended consequences of the initiative. The tracking report includes information about AHCPII interventions including the episodes of care model, patient-centered medical homes (PCMH), and other components. ACHI will continue to serve in a convening role by working with all participating payers to gather and refine analytic content into one consolidated report.
