Our goal is to catalyze and collaborate with individuals and organizations to promote and ensure the availability of and equitable access to affordable insurance coverage and quality personal health services that are timely, effective, clinically appropriate, and patient centered.
As medicine and technology rapidly advance, research on quality of care reveals a system that frequently falls short in translating knowledge into practice and applying new technology appropriately. We cooperate with strategic partners to study the gap between the care that patients should receive and the care that is actually delivered in the state. Our recent work has extended into the arena of Arkansas’s health care workforce—its current composition and how it will change in the future as our population ages and more Arkansans have access to health insurance.
